Dear Parent, 

It has been quite some time since I put anything on this blog, but thought it was about time.

I can't believe we are finished with our first trimester, had conference, and have already started our next trimester.

We have visited the State House and went to a Dartmouth girls basketball game with the focus being on nutrition and health. 

I hope you all have a restful vacation and I will see you in the new year.

Dear Parents, 

It was a busy week and our first full week of school. The students did well at the Tunbridge Fair on Thursday. We joined the third grade classes because this class was unable to go last year. The weather did not favor them. Ask about the pig races.

We have been learning about matter in science and what it is. We talked just recently about chemical and physical changes in matter and what happens when there is a chemical or physical change. We did a museum walk in the room to figure out the matter in a bag whether it was a solid, liquid, or gas.

I am reading aloud a book called The Lemonade Wars.  Ask your kids about it. The week went fast.

Wow! The week has flown by. I know, I know it has only been three days. We have worked on all the classroom routines and they are catching on quickly. I am impressed with their caring for each other and sharing. 

I am sending home the weekly specials schedule as well as a letter about some things coming up and other items needed for them to have in the classroom. 

Have a wonderful long weekend! Remember there is no school on Monday.
